I opened the account online with asda. it was so easy and simple to open. i just followed the instruction online.the actual underwritter for the account is with the childrens mutual. this was also one of the reasons why i opened the account because i know they are one of the leading providers for childrens savings accounts. asda are also offering the parent or guardian a
£5 asda gift card for opening the child trust fund account with them as a thak you. they give a higher giftcard reward if parents contribute to the account by direct debit.once the account is open online, they provide a address where the child trust fund voucher is to be posted.

I knew I wanted to put my daughter's CTF voucher in a Stakeholder account but found it so confusing to see which provider would invest my daughter's money the best. I do all my shopping in ASDA and saw their leaflet at the checkouts advertising their CTF account, they are partnered with the only company in the UK to specialise in children's savings and ASDA give you gift cards for ASDA just for opening your account!! It was really easy to apply, I just went online and set up the account while Amy was asleep and then posted in my voucher. Because I'd set up a direct debit to put money in Amy's CTF every month ASDA sent me £25 in their gift cards! What at first looked like a really confusing decision was made really easy by ASDA and I got some gift cards!

Not recommended, they messed me about with the voucher. If you're looking at appling but don't want to add anything a month apply by phone or they're not willing to send £5 voucher. It doesn't state this anywhere in the leaflets or online but because I pointed that out I got mine. Still waiting for the idiots to activate it though seeing as they forgot! The staff are very helpful and polite but don't seem to know a great deal about anything, everytime I phoned I was put on hold while they went and asked someone else about the problem in hand
