Junior ISAs

Junior Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) are set to be launched by autumn 2011, as a tax-free children's savings scheme to replace the Child Trust Fund.

Junior ISAs will be offered by private providers, with the choice of investing into a cash-based account or a stocks and shares-based account. The funds will be locked away until adulthood. Like with traditional ISAs, any returns from the new Junior ISAs will be tax-free.

Keep checking back for updated information, as details of the scheme continue to be finalised by the Government.

Overview of Junior ISAs
