I have 2 children, Alex 4 and Jasmin 2, I know that they are very young but their grandparents love to spoil them. When ever we go visit, which is quiet often since they are so close, my parents give them a bit of money (10 pounds) and chocolate. At first I thought it would be a good idea to 'give them responsibility' and let them do what they wanted but made it clear that was all they were getting. However, Alex, the little mischievious rascal that he is, will spend it and go directly back to the grandparents and ask for more. I know that they are very young, but it makes me worry a bit about what they might be like in the future, and think that everything will just be handed to them. Anyone have any advice on how they handle situations like this? Should I take control of the money and put it somewhere for later? Or is this harmless/normal behavior?
