All my children have piggy banks,I make it very competitive for them,The one who saves the most gets a bonus,I also make a day out of the day they bank. For instance we will go to a place that they want to or a park,They love this & it really helps them to save,At the end of each year who ever has the most savings gets an extra treat. My children do car washing,Gardening etc to help aim to fill up there money banks so they are learning about money & saving all the time What do you do to help your children save?

Hi All
I only have one child. What I do is encourage her to spend half & save half (ie bank it) I keep the bank book but she sees the balance go up and shes starting to WANT to put those few extra pence in there so she can see it grow!

Making it into a competition and giving the child who saves the most an extra treat is a great idea
