Child Trust Fund Reviews

Good Points: Easy to set up , administer and review
Bad Points: None.
The process of setting up an Engage Mutual Child Trust Fund for both our children was simple and offered ongoing easy maintenance. Statements are produced annually and are easy to understand and interpret. The fund itself is competitive and offers a lifestyling option that reduces investment risk from the age of 13. Paying into the fund is also simple, by direct debit, and the Engage Mutual Child Trust Fund also allows other extended family members to contribute. Again, the process of setting up these additional contributions was extremely easy. All in all we're very happy with Engage Mutual as our choice of CTF provider...Full Reviews

Good Points: Easy to apply & set up Friendly Staff Informative to begin with
Bad Points: Don't get any letters from them about my child's account
The Ethnical Trust Fund is a friendly helpful bunch who I think offer a great ethnical account. Information when applying was excellent. Was told everything I needed to know in plain simple terms. Very friendly staff when I have contacted them. The only down fall I would say is that ideally I would like to be contacted every few month and told about how the account was doing. I have recieved no such information and also dont know how to go about looking it up. A service may be available but I have not checked in a while. Overall I would recommend this CTF account. Not only does it have great ethnical features its a no hassle account for your child...Full Reviews

Good Points
: You get £20 of Mothercare vouchers when you set up a regular direct debit.
Bad Points: Sometimes it has been hard to get hold of their customer service staff. You only get a statement once a year.
I am fairly happy with this account and think I will use it again for my next baby. It's great getting the free Mothercare vouchers which I have also received when other people (grandparents, godparents etc.) have taken out a direct debit on the account. Last year the value of the account unfortunately went down so there was less in it than we had actually paid in. This was obviously disappointing but I think this was because of the economic climate. Hopefully it will make up for this over the years. The bank sends out fairly regular post encouraging you to increase your direct debits (and get vouchers), but a statement is only received annually.... Full Reviews
